Horsepower Increase:
All of our PowerBoxes will increase your horsepower by 20%, often giving as much as 25% more useable power at the peak of the “power-bulge.”
At ATO, we always talk about horsepower increase at rated RPM, even though newer machines tend to make their maximum horsepower a couple hundred RPM lower than their rated power. All of our PowerBoxes increase the rated horsepower by 20%, often yielding as much as a 25% power increase at the peak of the “power-bulge,” a little lower in the RPM range.
This 20% isn’t some arbitrary figure. In all of our tests on scores of different machines, a 20% increase in rated horsepower is ‘magic number’ where the engines all run well. Test after test shows us that moving beyond 20% starts to impact the operation and reliability of the machine.
Reduced Fuel Consumption:
You will use up to 20% less fuel per acre when using a PowerBox.
While it sounds counter-intuitive that you will use less fuel to make more power, the fact is that generally speaking, an engine makes power more efficiently the more of it it makes. So, while you may burn more fuel per hour, you will burn less per acre.
Due to the fact the the increase in efficiency comes with the increase in horsepower, when running at stock power-levels, doing light work, you would expect stock fuel economy.
